Adveya is a Sanskrit word meaning unique — one of a kind. We chose it because that is exactly what we believe about nature's oils. No two plants are alike. No two people experience an essential oil in quite the same way. And we believe that everyone who finds their way to Adveya deserves something that feels entirely, uniquely their own.

Are your essential oils 100% pure and natural?

Yes — without compromise. Every oil in our collection is 100% pure, natural, and undiluted. We source exclusively from certified manufacturers who meet ISO and GMP standards. What reaches you contains nothing synthetic, nothing artificial, and nothing that does not belong there. When you open an Adveya bottle, what you smell is exactly what nature made.

Where are your oils sourced from?

All Adveya essential oils are sourced from India — a country with one of the richest botanical heritages in the world. Our suppliers are carefully selected based on their experience, certifications, and commitment to quality. We work only with manufacturers who meet ISO and GMP certification standards, so you can trust every drop.

Why are some of your oils priced differently?

The price of an essential oil reflects the amount of plant material required to produce it. Some oils — like Patchouli — require significantly more raw material and a longer distillation process than others, which is reflected in their price. Every Adveya oil is priced honestly — you are paying for quality, never for a brand markup on a diluted product.

Can I apply essential oils directly to my skin?

Almost never directly and this is important. Essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts and applying them undiluted to skin can cause irritation or sensitization. Always dilute in a carrier oil such as coconut, jojoba, or sweet almond oil — at a ratio of 2–3% (roughly 10–15 drops per 30ml of carrier oil) before any topical application. The only exception is a very small spot application of lavender for minor skin concerns, and even then, less is more.

How do I know if I am allergic to an essential oil?

Always perform a patch test before using any new oil on your skin. Apply a small amount of diluted oil to the inside of your forearm, cover loosely, and wait 24 hours. If you experience redness, itching, or irritation, that oil is not suited to your skin. If there is no reaction, you are safe to use it more broadly. A patch test takes one minute and can save you a lot of discomfort.

Are essential oils safe to use around children?

With care, yes but not all oils are suitable for young children, and concentration matters greatly. For children above 6 years old, use a maximum 1% dilution for topical application. Keep all bottles securely out of reach at all times. For children under 2, we recommend consulting a pediatrician before using any essential oil. Never apply oils near a child's face or allow them to handle bottles unsupervised.

Are essential oils safe for pets?

This requires caution. Dogs can generally tolerate diluted essential oils in well-ventilated spaces, but cats are particularly sensitive their livers cannot metabolize many essential oil compounds, making certain oils toxic to them. Never diffuse Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, or citrus oils around cats. When in doubt, keep pets out of the room where you are diffusing and always ensure good ventilation. Consult a veterinarian if you are unsure.

Can I ingest essential oils?

No and we want to be very clear on this. Despite what some sources online may suggest, internal use of essential oils is not recommended without the direct supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. Our oils are intended for aromatic and topical use only and are highly effective at both when used correctly. Please do not ingest them.
